On October 28, 2025, the inaugural Members’ Congress of the Jiangsu Association of Marine Affairs (JAMA) was held in Nanjing. JIER Marine participated as a corporate representative, alongside delegates from provincial natural resources authorities, marine research institutes, universities, and other related organizations, to mark the official establishment of the Association.
The Congress reviewed and adopted key documents, including the Association’s Bylaws, and elected its first Council and Board of Supervisors. In their addresses, leaders from relevant authorities emphasized the Association’s role in integrating intellectual resources and promoting collaborative development within Jiangsu’s marine sector.
JIER Marine recognizes the establishment of the Association as a vital step in advancing Jiangsu’s strategy to become a leading marine province. As a specialist in marine engineering, its participation reflects industry recognition of its expertise and offers a platform for deeper collaboration across government, industry, academia, and research sectors.
Moving forward, JIER Marine will actively engage with the Association to contribute its practical experience and technical strengths in marine engineering. Key focuses will include:
a) Engaging in collaborative innovation mechanisms and academic exchanges to help tackle critical industry challenges.
b) Sharing field expertise from project construction and maintenance to inform policy research and strategic planning.
c) Supporting Jiangsu’s marine development goals by enhancing service capabilities and contributing to high-quality growth in the province’s blue economy.
