Nanjing JIER MARINE Co., Ltd. (JIER MARINE), in partnership with Hohai University, has recently been granted approval by the Jiangsu Education Department to establish a Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Workstation.
The Jiangsu Postgraduate Workstation is a school-enterprise cooperation platform jointly promoted by the Jiangsu Education Department and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. It aims to promote the comprehensive integration of talent cultivation and supply side with industrial needs side and enhance the quality of postgraduate education. With this accreditation, enterprises can further strengthen cooperation with universities, advance industry-academia-research integration, and facilitate the application of research outcomes in business operations and the market, thereby achieving greater economic and social benefits.
JIER MARINE has consistently placed a strong emphasis on technological innovation since its inception and holds multiple independent intellectual property rights. The company has maintained long-term and stable collaborative relations with Hohai University.
Since 2020, JIER MARINE and the Business School of Hohai University have jointly built an undergraduate internship base, which was recognized as a high-quality platform for practical training and employment. This collaboration later expanded to include a postgraduate internship base.
In 2022, JIER MARINE further became an internship and practice base for international students and a social practice base for Hohai University students. In November of the same year, the company partnered with the Institute of Water Sciences and Technology at Hohai University to establish a joint industry-academia-research base. Years of in-depth cooperation have laid a solid foundation for the successful application and establishment of the Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Workstation.
In terms of support conditions, JIER MARINE is fully equipped to provide comprehensive personnel, research, and living amenities for the workstation. The company and Hohai University have assembled a mentoring team comprising nearly ten experts in port and ocean engineering, along with several specialists in business management, capable of offering high-quality, multi-level guidance to incoming postgraduate students.
