Professional Inspection
After the production of the JBT Tee Head Mooring Bollard Systems and Rubber Fender Systems for this project, the professional third party inspection agency Bureau Veritas BV inspected the bollards and fenders as per international standards PIANC 2002, ASTM A148/A148 and BS 6349-4:2014. The inspection results showed that the Rubber Fender Systems And Mooring Bollard Systems are of high quality and comply with the technical specifications and contract requirements of the United Nations Development Program UNDP.
Bureau Veritas BV randomaly conducted a 1.5 times horizontal load test on the Tee Head Mooring Bollards manufactured by JIER Marine according to international standard BS 6349-4:2014. After a 5 minutes static duration, no cracks or damage were found on the surface of the Cast Steel Mooring Bollards. The test results proved that the American standard JBT Tee Head Bollards manufactured by JIER Marine fully meet the project's safety load requirements.
Bureau Veritas (BV) conducted a series of inspections on the Rubber Fender Bodys, Mooring Bollards Body and Accessories, including visual inspection, dimensional inspection, paint thickness inspection, mechanical properties inspection , chemical properties inspection , hot-dip galvanizing inspection, etc. In particular, the material of JBT Tee Head Bollards for this project is Cast Steel ZG340-640 / ASTM A148/A148M Gr. 80-50, which is an American standard high-strength cast steel material. BV inspected the content of carbon, silicon, manganese, and other chemical components, as well as mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation at break according to American standards. All data proved that the material of these bollards complied with American standards requirement. BV also inspected the paint thickness of the bollards according to the international standard BS EN ISO 12944, and the galvanizing thickness of the accessories of fenders and bollards according to ISO 1461. The inspection results showed that the paint coatings on the mooring bollards were well-distributed, with a thickness exceeding the project requirement of 325 microns, and the galvanizing thickness of the accessories exceeded the project requirement of 85 microns. Furthermore, the visual and dimensional inspection results of the Rubber Fenders and JBT Tee Head Mooring Bollards also met the project requirements.

After the inspection was completed, all inspection documents were reviewed and certified by the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen.
