JIER MARINE has successfully delivered a specialized marine bollard solution for Dalian Hengli Heavy Industry Shipyard, enhancing the facility's mooring capabilities for large vessel operations.
The project included the supply of high-performance T-bollards (550 kN working load) and double-head bollards (250 kN per head). Constructed from ASTM A36 structural steel with minimum 250 MPa yield strength, these units feature precision-engineered designs to withstand harsh marine conditions in Dalian Bay.
A key feature of this project is the environmentally friendly, high-performance external coating system:
Eco-Friendly Epoxy Topcoat: Our proprietary two-component epoxy coating contains low-VOC formulations meeting international environmental standards while providing superior corrosion resistance.
Multi-Layer Protection: Following abrasive blast cleaning to SA 2.5 standard, each bollard received hot-dip galvanization (80μm minimum) combined with the advanced epoxy topcoat.
C5-M Certification: The complete coating system meets ISO 12944 C5-M requirements for extreme marine environments, ensuring 15+ years of service life with minimal maintenance.
Enhanced Durability: The specialized formulation resists salt spray, UV degradation, and mechanical abrasion while maintaining environmental compliance.
All units underwent rigorous production controls:
- Material traceability with full test certification
- Precision fabrication within ±2mm tolerance
- 100% ultrasonic testing of critical weld joints
- Comprehensive dimensional verification
- Full-scale load testing to 125% of working load
Each bollard was carefully packaged and shipped with complete documentation including material certificates, test reports, and installation guidelines in both English and Chinese. Our technical team provided on-site support during unloading to ensure proper handling.
This project demonstrates JIER MARINE's commitment to delivering environmentally responsible, high-performance marine infrastructure solutions that meet the demanding requirements of modern shipbuilding facilities. The advanced corrosion protection system ensures long-term reliability while minimizing environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.
