JIER MARINE Successfully Delivers Specialized Marine Bollard Solution to Dalian Hengli Heavy Industry Shipyard, Enhancing Mooring Capabilities for Large Vessel Operations
JIER MARINE has completed the successful delivery of a specialized marine bollard system to Dalian Hengli Heavy Industry Shipyard, significantly boosting the facility’s mooring capacity for large-scale vessel operations.
The project involved the supply of high-performance T-bollards (rated at 550 kN working load) and double-head bollards (250 kN per head). Fabricated from ASTM A36 structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa, these units feature precision-engineered designs to endure the harsh marine conditions prevalent in Dalian Bay.
A defining feature of this project is its eco-friendly, high-performance external coating system:
● Eco-Friendly Epoxy Topcoat: Our proprietary two-component epoxy formulation boasts low-VOC content, aligning with international environmental regulations while delivering exceptional corrosion resistance.
● Multi-Layer Protection: After abrasive blast cleaning to SA 2.5 standard, each bollard undergoes hot-dip galvanization (≥80μm) followed by application of the advanced epoxy topcoat, creating a robust barrier against corrosion.
● C5-M Certification: The integrated coating system fully complies with ISO 12944 C5-M requirements for extreme marine environments, guaranteeing a service life exceeding 15 years with minimal maintenance.
● Enhanced Durability: The specialized coating formulation resists salt spray, UV degradation, and mechanical abrasion—while maintaining stringent environmental compliance.
Stringent production controls were enforced throughout:
● Material traceability with comprehensive test certifications.
● Fabrication tolerances strictly maintained within ±2mm.
● 100% ultrasonic testing of critical weld joints.
● Thorough dimensional inspections.
● Full-scale load testing at 125% of rated capacity.
Each bollard was meticulously packaged and shipped with comprehensive documentation (English & Chinese) including material certifications, test reports, and installation guidelines. Our technical team provided on-site assistance during unloading to ensure safe handling.
This landmark project underscores JIER MARINE’s commitment to delivering environmentally sustainable, high-performance marine infrastructure solutions tailored to modern shipyard demands. By integrating advanced corrosion protection, we ensure long-term reliability while minimizing lifecycle environmental impacts—demonstrating our dedication to innovation and quality in service of the global maritime industry.
